The HUGE downside to using NZXT stuff is the crap software called CAM. Spyware and quite poorly written.

@JayzTwoCents would love to see a video about using different manufactures for RGB and a breakdown of what brands works with each other. I have tried to look for videos on this but nothing is clear as what brands works with each other.

Im so dissapointed because I was so behind this product. I had the original hue+ and loved it when it worked. However, I have dealt with so much agony trying to make my system just light up. I originally had the aer fans and the hue+ controller, which I had to troubleshoot with the software to get working. Then I later added an led strip, which lead to the same problem. I’ve read the manual, and it says you can run both original hue+ accessories and hue 2 accessories, as long as they arent linked together. I got the new hue 2 controller and two aer 2 fans. (I should have learned by now) for the life of me, I cant make these stupid things work unplug one thing, it will detect it on the software and never light up, have them all plugged in, none light up. download cam 3 times, no dice. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting, almost everything I can think of, and they wont turn on. I recall my orginal lighting profile being very unorthodox, with the led strip settings showing up on my fans. I’ve also read a lot of reviews calling out NZXT for taking gigabytes of information on their users, which I don’t know if that is really true or not, but wouldnt really suprise me at this point. All that being said, I have seen people happy with how their hue setups have turned out. So if you want to purchase these, please realize that both the software and hardware have proven very unreliable and dissapointing to many people. If NZXT gets off their bullshit and actually starts showing some quality work on this product line, maybe I’ll be inclined to purchase from them. otherwise, I’m staying away.

The only thing I dislike about RGB is there's no true colors. You can't get a real, blood red like christmas lights or red light district lighting.

I hope the QA is better on this one. I bought 2 of the original kits and had strips in both kits die, the software crash, and connectors break.

8 months have passed since the N7 Z390 announcement and there aren't any reviews. You can review all of their new goodies, but I want answers, since certain someone from their marketing team politely told me to fuck off from digging any further. 🙂

Do note: Hue 2 fans DO NOT work with Hue (one) controllers. So if you bought Hue + originally you are basically F'ed as Hue (one) fans are hard to find if you wanted to add them more. Reason's i no longer support NZXT.

Nice video bro. I'm still rockin' the original Hue system. I have the Kraken X62, 2 Hue's running three 140mm fans, three 120mm fans, and 6 light strips. But, I needed 2 of NZXT's internal usb hubs though. I'll be upgrading to the new Hue 2 on my next build.

I completely agree with this video. People for get so often if you just want a clean build, you can choose the lighting to be white. Or if you're a boring adult with this and their children want a favourite colour when playing, they can change it to that, and then go back to a default afterwards.

What I don't see the appeal about is when people buy RGB, and have the lights off – why would spend the money at all if you wanted that?
